    Is there a unlimited texting plan for Cingular? I've been searching and all i've found was a plan for 1000 text and mms messages for $15.00

    Nope. Unfortunately there is no unlimited text feature at Cingular. As of about June/July, they changed their data/text packages. They offer two messaging packages (Message Extreme w/ 3000 messages for $19.99 & Message Starter w/ 200 messages for $4.99). They also offer MEdia Bundles (Media Works bundle w/ 1000 messages and 5 MB of MEdia Net for $14.99, MEdia Basic bundle w/ 400 messages and 1 MB of MEdia Net for $9.99, MEdia Max bundle w/ 200 messages and unlimited MEdia Net for $19.99, and MEdia Max bundle w/ 1000 messages and unlimited MEdia Net for $29.99.)

    The only unlimited feature you can get is unlimited data.
    But, Cingular is constantly changing things, so these features will probably change within the next year. Cingular is planning to release a shared data packages for family talk plans. It was scheduled to be offered in Wisconsin and Illinois in September, but it has been postponed until who knows when.
    So keep waiting and the text features will probably change.

    You can try getting any Media Bundle and change it every month because you will always get the first month unlimited. So every time you change it you get another month unlimited.

    The no unlimited texting is really a killer for me.

    Couldn't believe how many more txt msgs I sent once getting a Treo. The amount more than tripled.

    My package includes 1000 text, 200 MMS, and unlimited internet. I only get charged 19.99 for it.

    Yeah, I recently switched to Cingular and it kinda bugged me out that they didn't have an unlimited texting plan. I'll settle with what I have for now but I hope they make some changes to the texting plan soon.

    when i first got my go phone i had unlimited texting. it must have been some type of mistake. i was happy though

    cingular does not currently have an unlimited messaging plan... and from what they have told me, never plans to get one....

    and to IHSAlumni04: it was probably an issue with the tower you used when activating you phone....
