It's now official...Sony stands alone without Ericsson.

Well...it's official. After a long journey, Ericsson is being dropped from the name, Sony Ericsson, and it took €1.05 billion to get the deal done. So, that means that we will begin seeing a name change when it comes to the company, and Sony will stand by themselves.

According to Sony, they promise to accelerate the “convergence between Sony’s lineup of network enabled consumer electronics products, including smart phones, tablets, TVs and PCs” in the future.

We will definitely keep our eyes and ears open as to how well Sony will run this company without the "Ericsson" name.
