A Nokia 6185i from Clearnet PCS.

Good phone, although I don't like Nokia really. UT Starcom and Motorola rule my domain now.

Re: What was you FIRST mobile phone?

My first mobile phone was a motorola ultra classic II a.k.a. "the brick phone". That was an awsome phone it always got service the reception was great,i was one of the very few people with a cell phone in high school they wern't very common in those days at all. That was followed by a motorola dpc 550 flip phone and later a microtac elite(the smallest flip phone at that time before the startac)which I later had one of also. I also had a "bag phone" anyone remember those?

I have a collection of like 50 bag phones in the back of my store that we use for parts. If someone comes in with a bag phone that wants to keep it but it's broken, they can go fishing for the right part to fix it.

Re: What was you FIRST mobile phone?

    Hi all, new fella here

My first was the Motorola Ultra Classic with slimline battery.
Was a high end brick, had a friend use it to help his 2 used NEC's meet thier demise, yup, he beat them to death with the base of it.

Plastic was so mallable, if it dented, you could use a spoon or a bic lighter round edge an smooth it out again..

Worked a stint as aradio installer for a telus dealer, on off time during the day, used a 5lb sledge to exhaust any life from used phones they couldnt sell or wouldnt sell, mostly the bricks onyl needed the sledge, some took several direct hits.

Yeah, when the life cycle of themwas ending it did get tiring.

    Peace

    WR

Man, I forgot the name of the phone...I was with Bell Atlantic (before it became Verizon) so it was some analog brick, but not the bag phone I got the black Star Tac after that one (with MCI, ugh!). Talk about thinking I was the SH_T!
