Hi there. I found an unlocked cell phone website with the LG Shine KE970 on it, and it says that it is a Tri-band (GSM 900 1800 1900) phone, and i have no idea what that means. i went to another forum once that told me that the regular LG Shine is not compatible with Verizon, but i believe the site is Verizon phone specific. do you know if the "Tri-band (GSM 900 1800 1900)" factor changes that?
thank you very much

Re: What does "Tri-band (GSM 900 1800 1900)" mean??
it means that the cell phone can connect to services (and towers) that use those frequencies. Some carriers operate on some or all of those frequencies.
If you're using Verizon as your profile indicates, the GSM LG Shine will not work on it.

Oh well thank you very much. But i'm just curious, what cell phone services do use those frequencies?
