Back Up App Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. To back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your account, turn on “Back up my data”
  5. To allow your account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in with the account, enable “Automatic Restore”

Back Up Contacts On a Google Account:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “Accounts”
  4. Tap “Google” and select the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
  5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up on a Google account will be automatically restored upon the next login. Otherwise, you can sign in with the account, and repeat the steps above while making sure “Contacts” is enabled.

Back Up Contacts to Storage:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Go to the “All Contacts” tab
  3. Tap “Menu”
  4. Go to “Import / Export” and select “Export to storage”
  5. Remember the backup file’s name for future use and press “OK” to confirm

Restore Contacts from Storage:

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Access “All Contacts”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Select to “Import from storage”
  5. Wait for the device to finish scanning for vCards on the storage
  6. If necessary, select the vCard you want to import and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the ZTE Blade V Plus to your computer via USB
  2. On the smartphone’s home screen, slide the “Notification” bar down
  3. Make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
  4. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  5. Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
  6. Navigate to the desired backup location on the computer storage and paste the files
  7. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the ZTE Blade V Plus and PC
  2. Drag the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  3. Enable “Media device (MTP)” if necessary
  4. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  5. Navigate to the media file backups on the PC storage
  6. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folders they originate from
  7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  8. Safely disconnect the device from the USB
