Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Google Pixel to your computer via USB
- Enable Media Device (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on the computer
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones, Notifications and / or Alarms folders
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Swipe up on the home screen to access the apps drawer
- Open Settings
- Tap Sound & Notification
- Tap Phone ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
- Optionally, you can choose to enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the SIM card or the devices internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Go to All Contacts
- Tap the contact you want to customize
- Tap edit > Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & Notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
