Back Up App Data:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Personal and tap Backup & reset
- Enable Back up my data to back up app data, settings etc. to your Google account
- Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data to be automatically restored upon reinstallation or when signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Open Settings
- Go to Accounts
- Select an account type
- Select the account you want to sync the contacts with
- Check Contacts and tap Menu > Sync now
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect a USB connection between the Archos 50 Cobalt and computer
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer storage
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the Archos 50 Cobalt and computer
- Turn ON Media Device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups on the computer storage and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Media folder or the directories they originate from
- After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
