While there isn't much difference between the HTC One and the One Max, there are some important features that may make you want to get one over the other.
The One Max has:
- a 6" screen vs 4.7" (resolution is the same at 1080x1920 - so the pixel density is 367ppi vs 468ppi)
- is 7.65oz vs 5.04oz
- a 3300mAh (fixed li-ion) vs 2300mAh (li-polymer) battery
- a fingerprint scanner
Both the One and One Max have:
- the same quad-core 1700MHz Krait 300 processor
- 2gb ram
- 32gb internal storage
- 4mp camera & front camera
- BoomSound audio
- Android 4.3 w/ Sense 5.5
- pretty much the same everything else
Here is a physical size difference (The One Mini is on the left)

Re: HTC One vs One Max
I'm glad I have the HTC One. I don't know why they made the big one, other than to compete with the Samsung Note.
