Using iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on your computer you can use the software to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can re-sync the contacts from the account with the HTC One ME

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to view the summary page
  4. Access the "Info" tab and mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
  5. From the drop-down menu select "Google Contacts"
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or click "Configure" and select an existing account if available
  7. Click "Apply" and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Switch to the HTC One ME, register the same Google account and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: In case you have used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone before, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. Using a computer with Internet access, you can sign in to your iCloud account and export your contacts as a vCard file

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and log in with your account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the entries you want to share
  4. Click "Settings" > "Export vCard"
  5. After the vCard file is exported to the computer, import it to "Google Contacts" or alternatively skip this step and instead: open "People", press "Menu" > "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts" > "Import from SD card" and follow any self-explanatory steps

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: The two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet. However if you are looking for methods of transfer that do not rely on a computer then you can use various third party apps to get the job done. One of them is My Contacts Backup, an iOS application that can back up your iPhone contacts in a VCF file, and transfer it via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on the iPhone
  2. Open the application
  3. Tap "Backup" and wait for the VCF file to be created
  4. Once done, tap "Email"
  5. Compose a new email with the VCF file attached to it
  6. Send the email to your Gmail address
  7. On the HTC One ME, open the email and download the attached file
  8. Import the VCF file using the "People" app and the "Import" function

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Send Anywhere is a third party app for iOS and Android that can be used to transfer contacts and other file types cross platform, via a P2P connection, without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your iPhone
  2. Install the same app from the Google Play Store on the HTC device
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. Tap "Send" on the iPhone, and select "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts you want to share
  6. Select the method of transfer you want to use. Tapping "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone will create a code that can be scanned with the HTC smartphone's camera to begin the transfer. Alternatively you can tap "Receive" on the One ME and manually enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone
