Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the HTC device.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access Info
- Turn on Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account if applicable
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the HTC One S9 and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, perform one of the steps below:
- Import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the HTC One S9 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use People to import it to your phonebook
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer, you can also transfer iPhone contacts using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Launch the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- Wait for the app to create the vCard backup file containing your iPhone contacts
- Once done, tap Email
- Compose a new email containing the vCard attachment
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the HTC device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use People on the HTC One S9 to import the vCard to your phonebook
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use on both iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files, cross platform, without the need of a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- From the Google Play Store, install the app on the HTC device
- Launch the app on both devices
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send again
- Choose the desired transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the HTC One S9. Follow the on-screen prompts according to your selection
