Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the HTC 10 Lifestyle to your computer using the USB cord
- When prompted, turn on Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP), otherwise enable the option from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the desired audio files on the PC
- Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and / or Notifications directories
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Tap Personalize > Ringtone
- Select the ringtone to use and tap Apply
Set a Custom Ringtone to a Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to ringtones stored on the devices internal memory or the SIM card.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open People
- Select the contact you want to edit
- Tap Ringtone
- Select a ringtone and tap Apply
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Tap Sound & notifications > Notification sound
- Select the audio file you want to use for notification alerts
- Tap Apply to confirm
