Here's the steps for using Bitpim with your LG VU (CU920 CU915 TU915)
- Make sure you have everything listed above
- Hook up phone (you MUST be in data service mode)
- Launch BitPim
- BitPim should show "Other CDMA phone on COMx" (where x is the COM port being used)
- Choose Edit, Settings
- Change Phone Type to "LG-VX8700" (this is the CDMA version Shine)
- Click OK to close
- Choose View, View Filesystem
- Click the Filesystem icon
- Click the expand button beside "/"
- It will say "Retrieving" for a minute or two

Re: Bitpim with LG Vu
Is there a similar procedure for CU515? Or will this procedure work? Will it work on both Mac and Windows platforms?

Re: Bitpim with LG Vu
I've followed the instructions, but when I try to 'get' phone data I get and error message:
COM7: could not open port\\?\COM7: (5, 'CreateFile','Access is denied.')
When I plugged my USB connector in in the 'Data Service Mode', Vista took a long time to retrieve and add the drivers. In Device Manager under Ports, there is a device 'LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM7) and it shows it as running properly.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanx
