Transferring Contacts Using a Google Account:

With the help of a Google account you can sync the contacts stored on your Samsung Galaxy SIII, and then re-sync them from the account to the LG Optimus L70. This is an easy method of contact transfer, but you need to be careful not to create duplicate entries.

  1. On the Galaxy SIII, sign in with your Google account
  2. Press "Menu" while viewing the home screen
  3. Tap "Settings"
  4. Go to "My accounts" and tap "Google"
  5. Tap the "email address" or "user name"
  6. Tap "Sync Now", or alternatively, clear and mark the "Sync Contacts" check box
  7. On the LG Optimus L70, register the Google account used on the Samsung smartphone
  8. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen, and go to "Settings"
  9. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Accounts & sync"
  10. Allow the aforementioned Google account to sync contacts with your L70

Using the "Contacts" Application:

The pre-loaded "Contacts" app allows you to export and import contacts from the storage or the SD card. By exporting the contacts from the SGSIII in the form of a VCF file, you can easily import the contacts using the "Import" function on the L70. The file can be transferred between files via email or USB connection.

  1. On the SGSIII, launch the "Contacts" app
  2. From the "Contacts" tap, press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
  4. Press "Menu" and choose to "Import / Export"
  5. Tap "Export to SD card" and remember the file name before pressing "OK"
  6. Once the backup file is created, launch the email application and compose a new email
  7. Attach the VCF file to the email and send it to your Gmail address
  8. On the LG Optimus L70, launch the email app and download the vCard file
  9. Launch the "Contacts" app and press "Menu"
  10. Tap "Import / Export" and select to import the file to your phonebook
  11. Follow any self-explanatory steps to complete the task

NOTE: After the vCard file has been created on the SGSIII, you can transfer it over to the LG Optimus L70 by connecting both smartphones to a computer via USB, and manually copy-pasting the file from the SGSIII's storage to the L70. Then, import the contacts using the "Contacts" app and the "Import" option

Using "Send Anywhere":

If you're looking for a third party application for transferring your contacts, then you might want to give "Send Anywhere" a try. This app can transfer files and contacts via a P2P connection, without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both handsets
  2. Launch the app on both smartphones
  3. From the Galaxy SIII, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Mark the contacts you wish to share and tap "Send"
  5. Lastly, select the desired method of transfer. You can tap "Generate QR Code" on the SGSIII, and scan the code with the L70's camera. Alternatively, tap "Receive" on the LG smartphone, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the Samsung device
