Backing Up Applications:

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Mark the check box next to "Back up my data"

Backing Up Contacts:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  5. Select to save the backup file on the "Internal storage", the "SD card" or "Cloud"
  6. Tap "Next"
  7. Mark the "Personal data" option and deselect the rest
  8. Expand the "Personal data" folder and make sure "Contacts" is selected
  9. Tap "Next" and press "Start" to commence the process
  10. At the "Back up completed" message, tap "Done"

Backing Up Data on the SD Card:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  5. Tap "SD card" > "Next"
  6. Choose the items you want to back up, and then tap "Next"
  7. Press "Start" to commence the backup and wait for the process to complete (it may take several minutes)
  8. When the "Backup completed" message appears, tap "Done"

Backing Up Media Files Using a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the LG G3 Stylus and computer
  2. At the prompt, tap "Media sync (MTP)" on the LG
  3. On the computer, from the AutoPlay window, click to browse the phone's files and folders
  4. Locate the desired media files stored on your smartphone
  5. Copy the files, and paste them in the desired backup location on your computer's hard drive
  6. Once the installation process is complete, click the "Mass storage device" icon located in the system tray and safely disconnect your smartphone

Backing Up Media Files Using Your Smartphone:

  1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Under "Personal", tap "Backup & reset"
  3. Tap "LG Backup service" and choose "Backup"
  4. Select to back up the files on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or in the "Cloud"
  5. Tap "Next" and mark the "Media data" check box
  6. Deselect all non-media items
  7. Expand the "Media data" folder and clear the type of files that you don't wish to back up
  8. Tap "Next" and press "Start" to begin
  9. At the "Back up completed" pop-up, tap "Done"
