Clearing an App's Cache / Data:

NOTE: Assuming that one of your applications isn't working as intended, it freezes, crashes or causes any other problems, then you might be able to fix its behavior by clearing the app's cache or data.

WARNING! Clearing an application's data will delete all personal data stored within the application, including profiles, saved games, settings, log in and credit card details etc. As such, it's recommended that you first try clearing the app's cache and see if this fixes the issues. Unlike wiping the data, clearing the app cache will not result in the deletion of personal information

  1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Access "Settings"
  3. Go to the "General" tab and tap "Apps"
  4. Select the desired application and tap "Clear cache"
  5. If clearing the cache gave no results, try "Clear data" and press "OK"

Wiping the Phone's Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your smartphone is not working properly and you're considering master resetting it to fix these issues, then you might want to try and clear the phone's cache partition first. Sometimes you can fix various issues with your phone without having to factory reset it, by simply clearing the cache partition. Additionally, wiping the cache will not result in the deletion of all your personal data.

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings" and go to the "General" tab
  3. Touch "Storage" and wait for your smartphone to calculate the data
  4. Tap "Cached data" and tap "OK"
  5. Wait for the cache to be cleared. This may take a few seconds or more, depending on the amount of data being cached
  6. Once the process is complete, no cached data should be listed, and "Cached data" in the "Storage" menu should be shown as "Calculating…"

NOTE: If your smartphone continues to cause issues after the cache has been wiped, then you might want to try and fix these problems with a factory reset. Visit this thread for a full guide on master resetting the LG G3 Stylus

Entering Safe Mode and Uninstalling Malicious Apps:
