Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with your Android phone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access the Info section
- Turn on Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync is complete, switch to the LG X Style, sign in with the same Google account, and allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer and then perform one of the steps below:
- Import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the LG X Style to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer, alternatively you can transfer your contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an app for iOS which can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- Once the backup file is done, tap Email
- Make sure the email contains the vCard backup file as an attachment
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the LG device, open the email and download the attached vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for transferring iPhone contacts. The app is available on iOS and Android, and uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the LG device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Tap Send again and select a transfer method; ex: you can tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the LG phones camera, or tap Receive on the LG X Style and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
