Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Go to the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Under “Phone Management”, tap “Battery & power saving”
  4. Enable Power saving and then enable or disable the desired Power saving options
  5. You can also select a battery percentage at which Power saving mode enables automatically

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Smart functions”
  3. Tap “Smart settings” and set the switch to “OFF”

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  5. Turn off “Game optimizer”

Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Scroll to “Basic Settings”
  4. Tap “Brightness”
  5. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
  6. Tap “Screen timeout”
  7. Select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

Disable Connectivity Features When Unused:

NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, you can conserve battery life in the long run.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot”
  5. Set the toggle to “OFF” and return to “Settings”
  6. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to “OFF”
  7. Go back to “General” and scroll to “Personal”
  8. Tap “Location (GPS)” > “Mode” and select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Temporarily Switch to 2G:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G connectivity.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab, if necessary
  3. Under “Connectivity”, tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Enable “GSM only”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Turn on “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & sync”
  4. Turn off "Auto-sync data”
  5. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account / app to change its sync settings

Minimizing Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. As such, you might improve battery life by disabling or removing unused third party apps form your phone.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
  4. Go to “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. To turn off the app, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
  7. To remove the app, tap “Unisntall”
