The home screen provides access to the apps and features on your phone that you use the most. It also provides you all of the latest information and happenings on your phone in one easy-to-reach place. The home screen is displayed whenever you turn on the device or touch the Home button. Phone Status Bar – Indicates major operations currently occurring on the phone, including battery life, signal and any functions running in the background.

Notifications Bar – Accessible from the phone status bar, the Notifications Bar can be dragged down to show recent messages, calls, etc.

Center Screen – Typically blank (or can be filled by widgets and apps), you can flick left or right to access additional panels (panels can be sorted to display certain apps).

Shortcuts – At the bottom of the screen, shortcuts can be placed to give you access to your favorite or most-used apps.

USING THE SCREEN:

On your home screen, shortcuts are icons that open your favorite apps, web bookmarks, contacts, mail
labels, or music playlists. Widgets show you news, weather, messages, and other updates. To see other panels of shortcuts and widgets, flick the home screen left or right. Or, touch Home and touch a thumbnail to go to the panel.

To resize widgets, touch and hold a corner until you feel a vibration, then drag. To add something or
change your wallpaper, touch and hold an empty spot until you see the Add to Home menu. You can add a folder to organize your shortcuts. To move or delete something, touch and hold it until you feel a vibration, then drag it to another spot, another panel, or the trash at the top of the screen.
