1-Is there a way to skip my password when I check my voicemail from my handset (Nextel)?
2- is there a way to dial my voicemail from a landline without dialing my phone number. On sprint I was able to simply dial 11+areacode + phone number and it took me straight to voicemail. I can not figure out how to do this on Nextel.

Just dial your number and hit the star button and it will take ya to the voicemail. As for getting around the password i dont beleive there is a way to do that!! Thats just a security feature so no one else gets your voicemails!

Thank you but your suggestion is not gong to work for me. I work nights and sometimes I like to leave messages for my friends late at night. I simply dial into their voicemail and leave the message and set it up for later delivery. that way I get to tell them what I want to say, when I want to say it without waking them up. I have friends on nextel as well.
the reason I want to skip the password on the voicemail is because all that intro crap wastes minutes. i want to dial my voicemail and it automatically plays. no password no pressing one to hear messages etc. the plan i have now is 500 minutes less than my old plan and I don't plan on wasting any minutes!

The main voicemail # is the first 3 digits of your number and 6245. So it would be ***-6245.
the is no way to skip the password but you can set it up to automatically play the messages after the password is entered. I'm not exactly sure of how to do that but just listen to all the options in the voicemail.
