I have a Nokia 1220 with Tracfone as my service that I purchased appox. six months ago. For about the last month or so it has been turning itself off about once a day, sometimes more. The battery is fully charged and I keep the keylock on. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?
thankx

Thanks erwin. Don't know anybody with one of those phones.I'll have to wait until the problem gets worse and get a new battery, depending on how much it is. Only paid 40 dollars for the phone new. What is the usual life span of a battery? I only use the phone occassionally.

the life span of the batt is 1000 charges but if the batt is defective you lose the power even the bar is only half way. the phone will just shut off by itself.

ok,I'll try looking on ebay and also check with local radio shack to see how much they want. I've only charged the battery less than 20 times, and have used maybe 200 minutes of talk time in the six months.

don't go to that big store (best buy, circuit city, radio shack) they charge $35 for your batt if you don't have an ebay account go this site www.eforcity.com they located in arcadia california i think your batt is only $14 to them. it's up yo you if you want oem or generic but both of this work well. i always buy my accesories to them just check it out.
