Bluetooth Management

Connecting to a Wireless Headset:

  1. While on the Start screen, swipe left
  2. Tap "Settings" and go to "Bluetooth"
  3. Switch "Status" into the "On" position
  4. Select the headset from the list of Bluetooth devices
  5. If necessary, enter the passcode. (By default most devices have a passcode of "1234" or "0000"

Connecting to Another Phone via Bluetooth:

  1. Swipe left on the Start screen
  2. Tap "Settings" and select "Bluetooth"
  3. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on both phones, and that both handsets are visible
  4. In the list of scanned devices, select the phone that you wish to connect to
  5. If prompted, enter the passcode. (By default, the passcode is usually "0000" or "1234"

Sending Content via Bluetooth:

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled
  2. Tap and hold the file / content that you wish to share
  3. Tap "Share" and select "Bluetooth"
  4. Select the device that you wish to connect to
  5. If required, enter the passcode
  6. Accept the file transfer on the other device


Wi-Fi Management, NFC and Mobile Hotspot

Connect to a Wi-Fi Network:

  1. While on the Start screen, swipe left and tap "Settings"
  2. Tap "Wi-Fi"
  3. If necessary, enable "Wi-Fi networking" by bringing the switch in the "On" position
  4. Select the connection that you wish to use

Note: To close a connection, tap "Wi-Fi" and then disable "Wi-Fi networking"

Enabling Mobile Hotspot:

Note: in order to use Mobile Hotspot, your agreement with the carrier needs to support this feature. Enabling this option without the right options in your agreement may result in extra charges

  1. While on the Start screen, swipe left
  2. Scroll down and then tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Internet sharing"
  4. Slide the "Sharing" button in the "On" position
  5. Tap "Setup"
  6. Enter the desired information and press "Done" when ready

Enabling NFC:

  1. While viewing the Start screen, swipe left
  2. Navigate to and tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to and then select "tap + send"
  4. Touch the "NFC sharing slider" and toggle it in the "On" position

Enabling / Disabling Cellular Data Network:

  1. On the Start screen, swipe left and go to "Settings"
  2. Navigate to and tap "cellular"
  3. Tap the "Data connection field"
  4. Tap either "on" or "off" to enable or disable cellular data connectivity
