This isnt really a rogers question, just more of a question for canadians. I'm moving to Windsor next month from Toronto and I'm wondering if I buy a cell phone from Toronto, what do I have to do with it when I get to Windsor in order to use it from there. Or do I have to buy the cell phone from Windsor in order to use it there. I'm just confused, need a cell phone in Windsor but would like to buy it from here in Toronto.

Re: Cell phone from Toronto working in Windsor?
wow...a real cellphone noob. (wellcome to this world of cyber-realism).
Okay I'll try to indulge your question.
If you are going to use Bell, buy a bell phone
If you are going to use Telus, buy a Telus phone
If you are going to use Fido, buy a Fido phone*
If you are going to use Rogers, buy a Rogers phone*
*or any unlocked gsm phone.
Now I don't know if Windsor has any smaller-town providers there so you may want to investigate that aspect.
Lastly, usually with cellular contracts in Canada you get discounted handsets with signing a contract...SO., you may not want to buy a phone outright at location A, before going to loc B...unless you are sure you want to simply activate a pay as you go account, versus a contract account.
Do you know what the difference between the two above-mentioned accounts is?
