Restoring Applications:
- Log into your Google account if necessary
- Press the "Menu" button while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and go to the "Accounts" tab
- Tap "Google" > "Sync all"
- Press the "Back" key and tap "Backup and reset"
- Mark / clear the check boxes next to "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"
Contact Restoration
Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" key and tap "Import / Export"
- Tap "Import from SD card"
- Select an account to import the contacts to
- Tap "Import vCard file" > "OK"
- Tap the vCard file you wish to import, and tap "OK"
Restoring Contacts from a Samsung or Google Account:
- Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Go to the "Accounts" tab
- Tap "Google" or "Samsung"
- Tap the "email address" at the top of the screen
- Tap "Sync contacts" to mark the check box. If the box is already ticked, tap "Sync now"
Restoring Media Files
Restore Media Files from the SD Card:
- From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Tap "My Files" > "All files" > "SD card"
- Locate the files stored on the SD card
- Tap and hold the file that you wish to restore
- Tap "Move". Your device will automatically show you the available memory locations. To move the file to a different location, tap "Create new" or tap the folder name
- Tap "Move here"
Restoring Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect your smartphone to the computer via USB
- Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the check box next to "Media device (MTP)"
- From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Open a different Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the media files are backed up on your PC
- Copy the desired files, and paste them on your phone's memory. NOTE: the "Card" icon represents the external memory, whereas the "Phone" icon represents the internal storage
- Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone
Restoring Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Use the USB cable to connect your Core LTE to your Mac
- Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
- On the Mac, launch Kies
- In Kies, click the "Back up / restore" tab
- Click the "Restore" tab
- Mark the check boxes associated with "Music", "Photo" or any other type of file that you wish to restore. (Alternatively, mark the "select all items" check box)
- Click "Restore" and follow any additional prompts, if necessary
- Once the process is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone
