Restoring Applications:

  1. On the Ace NXT, sign in with your Google account if necessary
  2. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  3. Tap "Settings" and access the "Accounts" tab
  4. Tap "Google" and tap "Sync all"
  5. Press "Back" and tap "Backup and reset"
  6. Check / uncheck the boxes next to "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"

Contact Restore

Restoring Contacts from a Samsung or Google Account:

  1. Press "Menu" while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings" and access the "Accounts" tab
  3. Select either "Google" or "Samsung"
  4. Tap your "email address" at the top of the screen
  5. Mark the "Sync contacts" check box. If already marked, tap "Sync now"

Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:

  1. Ensure that the SD card containing the backup file is installed on your phone
  2. Launch the "Contacts" application
  3. Access the "Contacts" tab
  4. Press "Menu" and tap "Settings"
  5. Go to "Contacts" > "Import / Export"
  6. Select to "Import from SD card"
  7. If necessary, select an account and then tap the VCF file to import the contacts to your phonebook

Restoring Media Files

Restoring Media from the SD Card:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
  2. Open "My Files"
  3. Tap "All files" > "SD card"
  4. Locate the desired media files
  5. Tap and hold a file that you wish to restore
  6. Tap "Move" and the phone will display the available memory locations. To select a different location, tap the folder name or tap "Create new"
  7. Tap "Move here"

Restoring Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between your Samsung Galaxy Ace NXT and computer
  2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
  3. Mark the "Media device" check box
  4. From the AutoPlay window on the PC, click to "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  5. Navigate to where you wish to restore the media files
  6. Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up files on your computer
  7. Copy the files and paste them on your phone's storage
  8. After the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone by clicking the "mass storage device" from the system tray

Restoring Media Files from a Mac Computer:

  1. Connect your smartphone to the Mac via USB
  2. On the smartphone, drag the "Status" bar down
  3. Tap "Connected as a media device" and mark the "Media device" check box
  4. Launch Kies on the Mac
  5. Click the "Back up / restore" tab
  6. Click the "Restore" tab
  7. Mark the check boxes next to "Music", "Photo" or other types of files that you want to restore. Optionally, click "Select all items"
  8. Click "Restore" and follow any additional prompts if necessary
  9. After the process is complete, safely disconnect your device from the Mac by ejecting its drive from the desktop
