Restoring Applications:
- On the Ace NXT, sign in with your Google account if necessary
- While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key
- Tap "Settings" and access the "Accounts" tab
- Tap "Google" and tap "Sync all"
- Press "Back" and tap "Backup and reset"
- Check / uncheck the boxes next to "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"
Contact Restore
Restoring Contacts from a Samsung or Google Account:
- Press "Menu" while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and access the "Accounts" tab
- Select either "Google" or "Samsung"
- Tap your "email address" at the top of the screen
- Mark the "Sync contacts" check box. If already marked, tap "Sync now"
Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:
- Ensure that the SD card containing the backup file is installed on your phone
- Launch the "Contacts" application
- Access the "Contacts" tab
- Press "Menu" and tap "Settings"
- Go to "Contacts" > "Import / Export"
- Select to "Import from SD card"
- If necessary, select an account and then tap the VCF file to import the contacts to your phonebook
Restoring Media Files
Restoring Media from the SD Card:
- Tap "Apps" from the home screen
- Open "My Files"
- Tap "All files" > "SD card"
- Locate the desired media files
- Tap and hold a file that you wish to restore
- Tap "Move" and the phone will display the available memory locations. To select a different location, tap the folder name or tap "Create new"
- Tap "Move here"
Restoring Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between your Samsung Galaxy Ace NXT and computer
- Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the "Media device" check box
- From the AutoPlay window on the PC, click to "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Navigate to where you wish to restore the media files
- Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up files on your computer
- Copy the files and paste them on your phone's storage
- After the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone by clicking the "mass storage device" from the system tray
Restoring Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Connect your smartphone to the Mac via USB
- On the smartphone, drag the "Status" bar down
- Tap "Connected as a media device" and mark the "Media device" check box
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Click the "Back up / restore" tab
- Click the "Restore" tab
- Mark the check boxes next to "Music", "Photo" or other types of files that you want to restore. Optionally, click "Select all items"
- Click "Restore" and follow any additional prompts if necessary
- After the process is complete, safely disconnect your device from the Mac by ejecting its drive from the desktop
