How-to: Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime: Create and Manage Contacts & Caller Groups

Create a New Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “+”
3. Choose to store the contact on the “Device”, "SIM card” or to sync it with “Google”
4. Enter the contact’s name and phone number in the appropriate fields
5. Once you’re done editing the details, tap “Save”

Import / Export Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “More” and access “Settings”
3. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
4. When importing contacts, tap “Import” > “Device storage” or “Device”
5. When exporting contacts, tap “Export”, and choose “SIM Card” or “Device storage” as the export location
6. Tap “OK” to confirm

Assign Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Tap “More” > “Speed dial”
3. Select the speed dial number you want to use for speed dialing
4. Choose the contact you want to link with the speed dial number
5. Press “Back” to apply the changes

Deleting Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the desired contact
3. Tap “More”
4. Tap “Delete” twice to confirm and remove the contact

Reset the Call Log:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Go to the “Logs” tab
3. To view more details on a call log entry, tap it
4. To reset the call log, first go to “Logs”
5. Then tap “More” > “settings”
6. Tap “Edit” and enable “Select log items”
7. Tap “Delete”

Create a New Caller Group via Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to use for creating a new group
3. Tap “Edit” > “Group”
4. Tap “Create group” and enter the desired name for the group
5. Tap “Create”
6. Press “Back” > “Save”

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to add to the group
3. Tap “Edit” > “Groups”
4. Select a group to add the contact to and press “Back”
5. Tap “Save” to confirm the changes
