How-to: Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime: Manage Call Forwarding; Block / Unblock Calls & Messages

Enable Call Forwarding:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Go to “More settings” and tap “Call forwarding”
4. Select “Always forward”
5. Enter the phone number you want to forward calls to, or select a contact from the phonebook
6. Tap “Turn on” to confirm

Turn On Conditional Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone” and tap “More”
2. Tap “Settings” > “More settings”
3. Tap “Call forwarding” and select to “Forward when unanswered”, “Forward when unreachable” or “Forward when busy”
4. Add or edit the phone number you want to forward calls to
5. Tap “Update” or “Turn on” to confirm

Turn Off Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “More settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select the forwarding option you want to turn off
5. Tap “Turn off” to confirm

Block Calls:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Call rejection” > “Auto reject list”
4. Perform one of the steps below:
   
   • To block a phone number: enter it and ensure “Match criteria” is set to “exactly the same as”
   • To block calls from a contact or call log entry: go to “Contacts” or “Logs” and select the contact or log entry you want to block
   • To block unknown callers: set the “Unknown” option ON

Unblock Calls:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Call rejection”
4. Tap “Auto reject list”
5. Tap the “-“ symbol associated with the phone number you want to unblock

Block / Unblock Messages:

1. Open “Messages”
2. Tap and hold the conversation thread exchanged with the phone number you want to block
3. Tap “Add to spam numbers”
4. To unblock messages, perform the same steps above and then tap “Remove from spam” instead

Block Messages via Settings:

1. Open “Messages” and tap “More”
2. Tap “Settings”
3. Enable “Spam filter”
4. Turn on “manage spam numbers” and perform one of the following steps:
   
   • Tap “Contacts” or “Inbox” and tap the contact / phone number you want to block
   • Enter the phone number you want to block and tap “+”
5. Press “Back”

Unblock Messages via Settings:

1. Launch “Messages”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Spam filter” > “Manage spam numbers”
4. Tap the “-“ symbol next to the phone number you want to unblock
5. Tap “Back” to confirm
