    Hi, everyone!

I've decided to try to collect some of the various gadgets that I had when I was younger. Some have been pretty easy to recall and locate, like my Motorola pager and my Handspring PDA, but I'm having a heck of a time figuring out what model my first phone was.

Here's what I can recall (though this might not all be 100% correct)

    Year: 1999 (maybe 1998)
    Location: Salem, NH.
    Purchased at Staples
Pretty sure it was prepaid since I was only 19 at the time.
Manufacturer: Siemens (I'm 99% sure on this)
Distinguishing features: This is where it gets tricky. I SWEAR that the thing used a Credit-Card sized (1FF) sim that you either slid in from the top or bottom of the phone without removing any covers. I also remember it having rounded corners and no antenna, though that might not be accurate.

If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate the help. I've combed through Wikipedia and spent hours searching to see if the various models listed match up and so far none of them do.

I'm not sure if this had a 1FF sim, but this is the SL10:

    edit: it has a 2ff mini-sim

As you might already know, the mini-sim was introduced in 1996. By 1999 it was being used regularly. Maybe you're thinking of an earlier phone?

Definitely not it. The one I had was a normal candy-bar phone.

It couldn't have been earlier, but I'm wondering if I'm misremembering. It'd be an odd thing to get turned around about, though. I really remember that part so clearly.
