does anyone know exactly how the whole transferring of files to and from your computer using infrared works? the manual didn't say much about it.

do all laptops have a infrared thingy? i'm clueless....

it probably wont work, but it works well with another Z520a, i dont know if you can use just any IR device

Yes, if a device has an IR port, you can transfer files.

I tried to pair two Z500a's together (mine and a friend's) by IR and it would'nt work. Maybe we did something wrong. We ended up sharing our ringtones by Bluetooth transfer. Gotta luv Bluetooth

I got it to work, you have to download the PC Suite from Cell Phone Forums - Your Cell Phone Source (warning, infrared transfers are horribly slow!!!) id prefer bluetooth or USB
