Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 owners will be happy to know that there is an update that will soon be released. The update is for the pinch to zoom, and seems long overdue for Xperia X10 users.

Although this update will support the pinch to zoom, it will not do anything about upgrading to a newer version of Android. Once the update is available, your Xperia X10 should notify you of the update and it can be done either over the air or by PC. Many updates are usually done by over the air, in that case, not everyone will receive the update at the same time, but will be rolled out in stages.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini, Mini Pro and the X8 will also receive an update in a week or so that will supposedly fix some bug problems as well as enhancing the performance of the devices. The update for these three handset will be for bug fixes and performance enhancements only and will not include the pinch to zoom.
