Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can resync the account data, including contacts, with the Sony device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via Lightning
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Go to Info in iTunes and turn on Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Sony device, register the same Google account, and allow it to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on your computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Import the vCard via Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Sony device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, however you can also transfer contacts using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS apps that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email without a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- After youve created the vCard backup file, tap Email
- Ensure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Sony phone and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and import it using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use (on both iOS and Android) is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Sony device via the Google Play Store
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contact and tap Send again
- Lastly, select a transfer method, such as Receive on the Sony device or Generate QR Code on the iPhone. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process using the selected transfer mode
