    Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum to post but I was wondering if anyone could help me to swap CDMA cards so that I would be able to use my iphone 4 from sprint that i just bought (my curent phone is sprint sanyo scp-3810). Also I heard that you can unlock the phone so as you don't have to pay for internet. So if anyone can help me with either of these questions or both it would be very much appreciated.

I think you're getting some of your terminology mixed up

There is no 'cdma card' in your sanyo phone. In fact, that phone doesn't have any cards at all. You'll have to contact Sprint to activate your iPhone on their network.

As far as 'unlocking' the iPhone - If it's not a Sprint iPhone 4 (MC676LL/A) then it will not work on Sprint at all. The only case where unlocking would be necessary is if you had a GSM AT&T or T-mobile iPhone, which you can't use on Sprint. In regards to getting free data/internet - not going to happen, sorry.

Thanks for the help I have a few more questions if you don't mind. if the sanyo 3810 does not have a card then how does it send and receive calls? also if I were to get a phone that had a cdma card would it be possible then to put that card into the iphone and use the iphone under my current contract or would sprint automatically detect an iphone being used like Att does?

There's no such thing as a cdma card CDMA phones, with the exception of new 4g LTE phones, don't have cards. The phone is tied to your account via the ESN #.

Sprint knows what phone you have activated on your account based on the ESN. So if you activate an iPhone then they'll add data to your account and charge accordingly.

You should be able to just call Sprint and give them the ESN of the iPhone - as long as it is a Sprint iPhone and it isn't tied to an account with a balance, or was reported lost or stolen, they'll activate it.

    No prob!
