    razor cannot unlock thru code. you need a data cable and unlocking soft. specially if your phone version is higher than 8.29 version

    Local shop here charges $40 to unlock a razr,check around where you are..

    Yep. Except that your phone must have been used on your account at least 90 days ago.

    Say, for example, you get a new phone on an upgrade. You can get your old phone unlocked (if you had for more than 90 days), but you have to wait 90 days before you get the new upgraded phone unlocked.

    You bet Tony, it was just a little mis-leading. One can assume, by your post, that you can get a brand new phone unlocked the same day you buy it, so long as you've been a T-Mobile customer for over 90 days.
