    I put my old Sidekick 3 on Craiglist yesterday and within minutes had several fighting for it. Sold it for cash within the hour. Must be a popular phone.

    Anyway, I sold it to get the new Sidekick Slide and it has been 24 hours and I'm still getting the message:
    Waiting for Activation
    A welcome screen will appear within 48 hours after purchace.... bla bla bla.

    why is this? I've bought several new T-Mobile phones in the past and got to use them immediately. No waiting for activation.

    I'm impatient to setup and use this phone and it is stuck on that screen...

    I got tired of that and when they said I was stuck with that unless I spend the $20 more for the program. So... I took it back and got me the Blackberry 8320 Curve two weeks ago.

    EXACTLY... no comparison whatsoever!
    Sidekick = teenagers toy
    Blackberry Curve = Businessmans toy
