Hi,
I wish to know about the scenario. If we use a SIM (say MTN, South
Africa) outside the country (say in Asia or Europe). What will happen?
Do we get SIM registration Failure Message? or
Will Mobile System show searching mode (searching before camping)?
or
Some thing else?
do mail the reply on the following mail id

Re: Use of SIM outside the country....
If there is a roaming agreement between the SIM's home network and the
local network, and the home network allows the SIM to roam, then the
SIM would register on the local network and be able to make/receive
calls.

It would be the same as if you had no signal in your own locality --
the phone would displaying 'Searching' or 'No Network' etc, dependant
on the phone software.

You would pick up no signal as the sim would not work.

Re: Use of SIM outside the country....
If subsidy lock is enabled then "SIM registration Failure Message"
else will try for camping. will camp if there is roaming agreement
with the foreign PLMN. Else will say "roaming not allowed"
Question for you: Do I know you? Or was it just a random query...
