blackberry because it's a business tool, not a toy!

depends on what you want it for, if it is for corporate email, you need a blackberry as a sidekick cannot access corporate email, if it is for personal light use email and instant messaging, the sidekick is most likely your best bet. by the way, blackberrys and sidekicks will get the same reception on the same service carrier, neither one is better or worse.

and for a good reason

they are genius and elegent in every sense of the word

Blackberry is looking pretty nice right now. They have the capability to run ssh from them with a full keyboard. Not to mention they have good email features.

I have had both and really like the sidekick better, though the point about company email is true. Either way I am addicted to the both of them!!!

I have heard so many bad things about the sidekick and how
easy it breaks...The 7290 is for business people and the
sidekick is for fun...my opinion

Looks like I am making the right decision. I am getting rid of my Sidekick 2 and get the Blackberry 7290.

Sidekick 2 , since it is a much better aim client. Thats what I use it mostly for.
