Newest Blackberry model

Has anyone heard and buzz about any new BlackBerry models that will be hitting the market anytime soon?

The 8700 seems to be the latest and greatest, I think we'll see a 9000-series phone early in '07

yeah, the 8700G is the newest BB. it allows you to combine text and images on a single message, bluetooth, MP3 ringtones and allows working with some windows based programs. no camera though.

So does the 8700 come with software to accept MP3 ringtones or do you have to DL them like on my 7100g?

I wish those specs were completely true... That is what I have and that is not the full picture. Pictures can only be viewed in email, NOT text messages. Same with MP3. Grrrrr, and no camera. I've also yet to get anything Windows on here, but the RIM calendar is pretty cool and I like that it does work with my PC-based Outlook program.
