Please help with black berry and the software that came it and ring tones

Hey guys I have a blackberry pearl, I have a question about the disk that came with it. I was told you can use it to make ringtones and transfer stuff from the computer and pearl.
How do you make your own ringtones and transfer music?

I downloaded the desktop software w/ SP2 from the blackberry site since my CD didn't work. After you install the applications, there is a program called Easy Audio Capture in the Media Manager 9 folder under Audio. If you have a internal mic or any kind of mic, you can record any sounds/songs/ring tones for free. Then just move it into the ring tones folder in your Blackberry using the Media Manager program that was installed with the software. You also should have a MicroSD card. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to make the ring tones play for longer than 5 seconds without it looping, if you figure this out, let me know.

and I know what you mean about the ring tone only lasting 5 sec and loopping back. Does t-mobile or blackberry techs know how to fix it?
