I can get 25-sec long MP3's to my phone (for ringtones) just perfectly fine. They're usually around 650kb in size. But when I try to get a full-length MP3 song (about 4.3mb usually), the transfer fails.
I've been using Bluetooth from my laptop to my Pearl for this.
How do I get full-length songs onto my device?

use the sync cable that comes with the phone and use the desktop manager software to add songs in the device memory or memory card if any. Bluetooth transfers arent always successful. Or downloads over the air. I know from past experience that it is better to just use the sync cable to transfer any info from a pc to the phone.
and btw, why are your 25sec ringtones so large in size? 625k? that is huge for a ringtone that short. Mines go at around 200kb -250kb max.
I love my cellys

are you using a memory card? the blackberry has very little internal memory and the file could be too large to transfer without a memory card.

depending on the size you can e-mail the file to your self and play it from the attachment
