I need a phone that enables me to type quick messages related to the phone calls I receive and make. I do not need emails and I do not need Internet. Which phone do you recommend? Thanks.

sounds like you don't really need a blackberry right now. if all you're doing is texting and making calls then i don't really see a need for one, you'd probably be better off with a cheaper, basic phone from maybe lg or samsung.

if you're set on blackberry, i'd probably get a curve. you can get them at a really good price nowadays, and you might appreciate it's extra capability at some time down the road. all again, it's about preference. hope i helped!

Yeah I would definatly say get the curve, it has the Qwerty keyboard which will make it easier for texting, you can browse the web, and even use google maps which is cool. And most carries have them now for 99-150 bucks which is a steal.

    Hi titani,

If you aren't going to use the email option or want to use the web, then like others have stated I would go with a cell phone that has qwerty for just text,

but then again I also looked at the pearl and I think it could be a good option for you as well. It's smaller then the average BB and it also has a camera, ( even though you didn't state if you had to have a camera or not ) so it's nicer for someone who wants more of a phone then the other options but still keeping the BlackBerry name!

Hit Titani. As others have said, if you don't need e-mail then you may want to look outside blackberry. That said (depending on where you live) old blackberry models can be quite inexpensive. Personally, the oldest ones had larger keyboards, much easier for texting (the ones with multiple letters for keys are the worst).

I agree... the pearl was the best fit for me for the price, plus my version, the Pink Pearl (carried by Telus in my area) also donated $25 to cancer research, so it was a win win Hope you found your fit

BB Curve is awesome, I've had it for a month now and it changes the way you do thing. ie email, info from net, vids, pics, nice camera, compact size, good batt life. I really have nothing negative to say about it.
