RIM has updated the BlackBerry Internet Service to version 2.6.
If you're a BlackBerry users, you now have the option to display password characters when configuring BIS, which in turn will make it easier to enter third-party e-mail address passwords. Support and error messages have also been improved in this update as well. To ensure that your sent messages do not appear as received messages and one way synchronization of read, sent and deleted items, the new version of BIS integrates with Gmail IMAP email service.

Users can also access a WAP login to change e-mail signatures when using the BlackBerry e-mail application.
