So I'm trying to find out solid information about this phone, and its compatibility with Boost mobile. From some people i hear that texting and the internet does not work, and from others i hear that it works the moment you put the SIM card in, and register it with boost over the phone. Lastly I hear that there is some sort of patch you have to download to get the phone to work properly with boost but there are third party application conflicts with the phone.

help?

Any iden phone should work with Boost's iden service, texting shouldn't be a problem, where you may find a problem is when trying to use the browser.

Keep in mind that if you are using the CDMA side of Boost then the 7100i will not work.

No im on the IDEN network, i just asked a representative, and they told me texting has been reported not to work with this phone...

i'm still very confused about this and really could use a pda like phone on this provider

i decided not to get the 7100i due to it not working with the network. i guess ill have to wait for them to release a smart phone with a keyboard

Do a ebay search for Boostberry and you find that there is a way to use 100% of Blackberry's features on the Boost Network.

1700i works with all the network feature i do this everyday for people at this moment i have 5 1700i's setting in front of me that wrok perfect with boost text, talk, PTT and web it just tkes a little pprograms i do it everyday if you want i 17001 setup for boost i sell them for $55 and i well set yours up for $25 if you have one. People think you should just be able to plug in a sim and it work they do not want to have to do a little work. its a great blackberry and cheap at the price. and with $50 unlimited everything from boost i think everyone should have one.

Why not do this with a 8350i instead?

i do as a i said if he sen ti to me i would fix it. i just used the 1700i as example since they are cheaper in price
