Info: Syncing Outlook contacts with your Blackberry

I do not have an exchanger server so I would be syncing with Outlook 2007 (win 7 64 bit). I have been successful in syncing using my USB but I can not sync using Bluetooth. The BlackBerry Desktop will not recognize the BlackBerry bluetooth. I know that the BlackBerry and my PC are paired since I can goto bluetooth and click on "transfer Address Book" and it works but not syncing?

Desktop software 6.0.0.285 only syncs my address book, and not my contacts (ten years ago microsoft reccommended we switch to contacts in place of address book - now is blackberry going the other way?)

I must have missed a trick?
