Can i change the color of my trackball on my blackberry pearl 8130?

The newer blackberrys trackball doesnt change color. I know the 8100 used to. Though you can find trackball replacements that are colored, not as cool as a light behind the ball changing colors though.

You can do that, but you need to buy a color trackball. Search around Google.com, it is very easy to change the trackball. Check this video: dfmodel.com/play.php?vid=111 and see how easy to take off the trackball and put it back

colored trackballs are all over eBay

Aftermarket ones are for sale at cnn.cn or eBay, whichever you prefer. The 8100 is the only Berry to be able to change the color of the trackball.

i like the light up pearl trackball

be weary of aftermarket trackballs, i ordered one and it didn't move around quite so easily.

If it still looks alive, than that's probably good enough - if anything, it may be the potty little switch that's broken.

PS. I've used pretty much all the options - even from the days of doing a cut and shut on a serial mouse cable, to repair a break - no tool to refit the internal connector, so left tails and soldered and taped.

1. Ball mice - can't stand them now, since most still in use are in terrible condition.

2. Optical - wired

3. Optical - cordless ... battery life is a pain! - and my old one died of too many drops, with no wire to catch it (was using a knee-board).

4. Trackball - proper heavy/large ball spin-kicker type, making large movements by free spin and small ones with close contact - only a large and heavy one gives the true mix of brute force and finesse.

5. Glidepad - had one in a keyboard, great - I could do all the tap and drag tricks, though I used a mouse with it for some (not all) games.

i dont like the trackball, its too easy to get dirty, then it looks all gross

just google bb trackballs cheap and you willl find plenty of places that dsell new or used ones in any color from phones for parts as well for bb that dont sell changable trackballs
