I don't think that anyone even noticed that the Blackberry Z10 came out last week. Aside from a few lackluster commercials on TV, Blackberry failed to really market the new phone. I don't think it will help them get ahead in the market that they are rapidly losing. Phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note II have made Blackberry just about obsolete.

I don't think it was necessarily a marketing failure. The z10 has caught up to an extent, but if Samsung were to release a flagship product with similar features people would seriously be disappointed with the lack features. The z10 would've been amazing 2 or 3 years ago. I think Blackberry missed the boat.

Your right, if we didn't have so many other options with better features, the Z10 might have done better. The fact is Blackberry (RIM) didn't make progress when they had the "smartphone" market cornered 5 years ago. Google came out with the Android OS and it has been an uphill climb for RIM ever since.

In the competitive mobile market we cant predict who will rise and who will fail. Think about the google or facebook phone.
