How-to: Blackberry Q10: Send, Reply, Forward, Attach Videos to a Message

Using Voice Text

1. Go to the Apps screen and then press and hold the Mute key.
2. Speak [Text + your desired contact name of its phone number].
3. Speak your message when prompted.
4. The voice app will then read back your message. If you’re satisfied with it, tap the Send icon.

Replying to a Message

1. Go to the BlackBerry Hub and tap the Menu icon.
2. Then tap Text Messages -> select the message you would like to reply to and start composing your reply.
3. When ready, tap the Send icon to send your message.

Sending a Message to a Group of People

1. Go to the Apps screen and tap Text Messages.
2. Tap the Compose icon located at the bottom of the screen.
3. In the To field enter your contact’s name and select that contact from the dropdown list.
4. Then enter the second contact -> select the contact from the dropdown list.
5. Repeat the previous steps until all the desired contacts are added.
6. Then tap Enable Group Conversation -> touch OK.
7. Tap Enter a message and compose your message.
8. When you’re done composing the text, tap the Send icon.

Forwarding a Message

1. Go to the BlackBerry Hub and tap and hold the message you would like to forward.
2. Then tap the Forward icon -> in the To field enter the desired contact’s name and then tap the Send icon.

Attaching a Video to a Message

1. Go to the Apps screen and tap Text Messages.
2. In the To field enter your contact’s name and select that contact from the dropdown list.
3. Tap the Compose icon located at the bottom of the screen.
4. Then tap the Attach icon located at the bottom of the screen and select the video that you would like to attach.
5. To send the message, tap the Send icon.

Setting a Text Notification Alert

1. Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notification Bar.
2. Tap Notifications -> scroll to Text Messages and then tap Text Messages -> touch Tone and select the tone that you’d like to use from now on.
