Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the BlackBerry Priv to your computer via USB
- Swipe the “notification” bar down and make sure the connection with the PC is set as “Media device (MTP)”
- On the computer, launch an Explorer window and locate the audio files on the PC
- Copy the desired files, and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory > “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” folders
- Once the transfer is done, click “Safely Remove Mass Storage Device” in the system tray and eject the phone storage
- Safely disconnect the device from the USB
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound”
- Under “Call Ringtone & vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone”
- Choose a ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Default Notification Sound” under “Sound”
- Select a notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
