Turn On Battery Saving Mode:
- Swipe the “Status” bar down using two fingers
- Tap the “Battery Saver” tile to turn the feature ON
- For more Battery Saver options, go to “Settings” and tap “Battery”
- Tap “Battery saver” > “Turn on automatically”
- Select a battery percentage at which Battery Saving Mode enables automatically
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when unused, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar using two fingers
- Launch “Settings”
- Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
- Turn on “Airplane mode”
- To disable Wi-Fi, tap the “Wi-Fi” switch OFF
- To disable Hotspot, tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and set the switch to OFF
- To disable Bluetooth, go to “Settings” and tap the “Bluetooth” switch to disable the feature
Forget Wi-Fi Networks:
NOTE: By forgetting saved Wi-Fi networks (particularly those using hidden SSID) you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Wi-Fi” and ensure the feature is turned on
- Tap “Menu”
- Access “Saved networks” and select the desired network
- Tap “Forget” to confirm
Change GPS Settings:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Location”
- Tap the “Location” switch OFF to disable GPS
