Verizon ringtones.. Porbbily the easiest way possible

I figured id post my way of getting real ringtones....

Very easy.

Will cost you about 30$ cause you ned a mini sd card and the adapter for your computer.

If you have a mini sd card and adaptop all you have to do is go to zedge.net/ringtones and find the song you want. and download to your PC and transfer the file into "my sounds" file on the mini sd.

Than if you want to use it as a specific ringtone for a person is all you have to do is send a Picture message with the "sound" aka the ringtone, to yourself thn save as ringtone..

see very simple.

costed me nothing cause i had the mini sd n adaptor for my music allready.

This will work with some phones, however most newer phones will not give you the ability, mainly due to copy right laws and people using this to rip off artist who sell their songs as ringtones.

Now that sucks for the newer phones....

Here's an easyer way!

1) Point your browser to hxxp://myxertones.com

2) Choose Create your own ringtone

3) Populate all the fields in the template very easy. Your Carrier/number/mp3 Choice

4) Usually you would be done at this point and your mp3 would arrive as a ringtine, but USA and Canada's free market enterprise is running out of control and too many kitties are downloading ringtones to their mylittlepony phones and greedy armican bastards want to make money wherever they can so they have stoped inbound ringtones unless you pay through your providor. I say **** THAT ****! Onto the next step

5) once you read the bull**** I just mentioned choose download ringtone option it will arrive in the form of a mid.

6) email it to your cellphone with this address 1234567899(at)vzwpix.com

7) once you receive the msg, forward it back to yourself and save again.

8) Now you will see it showing up in your ringtones menu.

or you can do what my signature says to get the real scoop on things and get custom ringtones for free on ANY firmware phone.

support for this method is very limited nowadays since verizon has altered the firmware on the phones to prevent this from happening. There is a file in the phone called arcconfig.ini . On the newer firmare phones, this file sets the location of recorded audio, EMS audio, and MMS audio. There is a brew protected file on the phone that sets the ringtone folder. This file *on the newer firmware phones* sets all of those locations to different areas of the phone. the ringtone database file (MyToneDB.db) will only index the files that are stored in the folder path set by the brew protected file. therefore, no setting recorded audio as a ringtone, no setting downloaded audio as a ringtone, no setting mms audio as a ringtone. Just wont work unless you know the actual ringtone root and you alter the arcconfig.ini file to set those paths for recorded audio, EMS audio, and MMS audio to all point to the same location where your ringtones reside. I've done this for newer firmware razr v3* phones (which also works with the krazr phones). Wanna know how? just ask me for the link to my guide. I cant guarantee you will be able to overwrite this file on your own phone unless USB transfers are enabled on it (either by default or through a seem edit)
