Does DataPilot Work?

Not sure if I'm posting this in the proper section or not (newbie-itis)

Anyway, does the DataPilot software actually work for loading ringtones, etc.

Between my wife and kids and I we have (3)LG Rumors, (1)Samsung M520 and a Sanyo something or other all on Sprint.

I was just wondering if it would be worth the $35.00 or so to download the software since I already have data cables for all but the Sanyo.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated
