Fidoees will benefit by the vastly improved network and EDGE.
I'd say it is win win.

I agree, Rogers' GSM coverage will definately improve.
I hope that Rogers incorporates some of the great deals that Fido has. Like Fido to Fido, that would be amazing.

i also hope they drop the price plans, because fido will be getting our service for a cheaper price.

Fido users have to pay 5$ extra a month for Roger`s coverage while Roger's cust. Have fido's at no extra cost.

but in actual fact we don't need to use fido's towers we already have good coverage so it should be at no cost

you are indeed right phenix, But, rogers stills "roams" on fido in some places like montreal and Toronto at no cost (Ok, it happened to me once in a building owned by fido where I had better fido coverage than rogers, but still!! It was free! hehe)

funny thing is sometimes my phone would switch over to microcell and i would still be within a rogers tower...LOL

Pheonix, If you have a HS820 device with your phone, it will do a "bip" every time U switch over from fido to rogers and rogers to fido, On top of the Bip that it does to check with the mobile (If you are not in conversation, off course, but still have it in your ear)
Im not sure if the Nokia bluetooth device does it too, as I mainly use and sell Moto HS820 and HS810 because I tested and loved them.
